Which Mirabilia will you be starting next?

I think my next start will be Lily of the Valley, it's time to start a smaller design. It may be a couple months before I actually start her.

Single stitches on fabric

I'm doing Firefly Fairies and it has a lot of single stitches in Kreinik Braid. I was wondering how everyone does theirs. I've been doing one at a time and it is such a pain. Does anyone have an easier way of doing this. I'd also like to know how you end the stitches on the back when doing them alone. I've had this in some of my Mirabilia's also. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I purchased some fabric that smells like cigarette smoke and I don't know how to get the smell out. I have tried a Glade product that is similar to Febreeze, but that has not helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Do you participate in exchanges or round robins?

I'm a member of Hooked on Exchanges blog group. I've done 7 or 8 exchanges and love doing them. I've done 3 RR, 2 were with friends in the same city and we'd get together every month and exchange pieces. The other was with 9 people total. I enjoyed the stitching but not the difficulty in exchanging and people dropping out.

I have taken a great shine to Nora's Nymphs and Pixie Couture, but I have noticed that they are not on Mirabilia's pattern list on her web site.
Why is this? Am I just looking in the wrong place. Thanks...Sharron

Do you have a special place, at home, where you stitch?

I usuall stitch while sitting in my livingroom. I don't have anything special set up but that's usually where Aaron plays or I can hear him when he's napping.

Mine are in plastic containers, one for evenweave, one for linen, and one for hand-dyed.

I heard from a shop owner that there is going to be a major Mirabilia out on Thursday but she had no other information. Now I keep checking to see if there's a sneak peak or a name or anything out there! Anyone heard anything? I've got the flu (ughhhh) and I can tell you that this going to be the highlight of my week! I'm hoping for another mermaid.

Besides Mirabillia, what are your favorite designers to stitch?

I love Jeannette Douglas, I find her designs a real challenge and I learn lots of new stitches. I also like Bent Creek and Lizzie Kate, both are very different from Miras.

Has anyone done a conversion for Crystal Symphony?

Emerald Mermaid Framed!

I picked up Emerald Mermaid from my LNS today. They did a great job. None of my own framing attempts ever looked near this good. It cost $194 to have it done, which I think is well worth it. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the mat is a suede emerald green. I just love the suede mats.
