I finished this one back in 2007 (I posted the unframed pic here under my previous nick, fionnola, to which I lost password since and had to find a new username), but never shared the framed picture.

The piece was donated to church, hence the elaborate frame that would probably not look right in my rather eclectic home :-)

Garden Verses typo?

I must have an older copy of Garden Verses. My copy has 3371 twice. The symbols for this are an open square and a black square. I saw the supply list and one of these is 3731. My question to anyone who has this pattern is which symbol is 3731 and which color goes with the tweed (combined with 814)?

Here she is! I finally finished her...I really, really like how she came out. The colors are fantastic. I thin k maybe she's my favorite of the In My Garden series. Now my mom will have the whole series all complete! TFL!

Just finished! Spring in My Garden stitched on 16ct Forest from Dreams With Angels. Only changes made were I spaced the letters apart equaly. Now onto Winter next, I've got a bare wall that I can't wait to cover! Thanks for looking.

Here's the latest pic of my Garden Beauty. I'm not far from finishing but I started to dislike the lugana fabric after I discovered linen, so it's hard to stay motivated...
That garland above her was also a pain to stitch...

So, she is done! With all the other project I did in the meantime, it took me 18 months to finish this project, but she is definitelly worth it!

I plan to take her to framer's this week, still haven't decided how to have her frame. As the framed piece will be given to my church, it needs to fit with the insides - and my church is a 12th century building, small, thick walls, old decorations... I think no border and a thicker frame, maybe golden, to resemble old reneissance paintings,...

Garden Verses WIP

Got in some work on Garden Verses this past weekend, and she's coming along nicely. Working on the tans gets a little boring, but I know if I keep going I can get to the more vibrant colors in other parts of the design. After all, if all the colors were vibrant the design would be overloaded.

The fabric looks like pewter, but it's actually a 28ct. wedgewood...
